The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research is dedicated to improving the health of the population by building research capacity and developing health research excellence.

Based in BC, Canada, MSFHR recognizes that to achieve our goals, we must coordinate our efforts with like-minded organizations from around the world and utilize our combined resources.

Through developing provincial, national and international partnerships, MSFHR can provide more opportunities to support projects that demonstrate passion and commitment to a shared objective: to achieve health research excellence.

Announcing our 2009 Trainee Award Competition Partnerships - January, 2010

The MSFHR Corporate Development & Partnerships department is pleased to announce eight partnerships with local and national organizations for the 2009 MSFHR Trainee Award Competition.

These collaborations have provided 10 trainees with co-funding to support their research, which is relevant to each individual partner’s area of interest. These partnerships increase the Foundation’s capacity to support health research excellence in BC and fund additional trainees.
