Performance Measurement

We are committed to accountability, continuous improvement and demonstrating results. Linked to our Strategic Direction: 2009-2015, we measure impact in three performance areas: Impact of Health Research Funding, Value-Add of MSFHR and Organizational Effectiveness. Each performance area incorporates output and outcome indicators that draw upon a number of data sources.

Quantitative and qualitative data sources include:

  • Awardee progress reporting: to examine the outputs and outcomes of MSFHR-supported research.
  • Special evaluations and analysis: to explore specific aspects of MSFHR’s programs and initiatives, and the health research environment.
  • Case studies: to demonstrate how MSFHR-supported research has been used to improve health and health services.

Reporting
