Career Investigator Resources

Please be advised that the same policies, procedures, terms, and conditions may not necessarily continue to apply in subsequent years.  Award Recipients should always refer to the version of the MSFHR guidelines, instructions and recipient resources that were valid in the year they were funded.

Contact the Career Investigator Program for copies of earlier versions.

Award Administration

This is a brief overview for new Award Recipients who may have questions regarding the set up and payment of their award. Be aware that each Host Institution has a different process for setting up an award, and that it is best to confirm the process with the Host Institution's finance department.

The career/salary award will be set up through the Host Institution’s finance department. The Award Detail letters that outline the duration and amount of the career/salary award are mailed out after the Conditions and Acceptance of Award Form is received by the Career Investigator Program. Award payments are paid to the Host Institution on a quarterly basis, and payment schedules for the applicant are determined by the Host Institution.

The establishment grants will also be set up through the Host Institution's finance department and are paid to the Host Institution in four installments over a two-year term.
