Networking Awards

The Networking Awards Program links researchers and human and material resources, building critical mass across health research applications, institutions, organizations and regions. Two programs were developed as part of the Networking Program; the Technology and Methodology Platforms, and the Health of Population Networks.

The aim of the Networking Program is to;

  • Build capacity,
  • Facilitate and enhance BC's ability to address health issues,
  • Improve competitiveness for external funding by aligning BC health research with national and international research priorities, and
  • Facilitate the translation of health research knowledge into evidence-based decision-making and policy.

Technology/Methodology Platforms

This program was launched in January 2006, and focuses on the establishment of cross-cutting technology and methodology platforms that will enhance health research across BC.

Health of Population Networks

This program was launched in January 2004 and focused on networks of researchers who share a common interest in the health of specific populations within the BC community. The Health of Population Networks awards ended on March 31, 2010.

Networking Infrastructure Program Guidelines

After a review of the Networking Program in 2006, MSFHR developed program guidelines to address specific operational issues and to ensure that the goals of the Networking Program are met. These guidelines are subject to amendments from time to time. MSFHR expects awardees to adhere to these guidelines.
