Review

Rigorous review is a cornerstone of MSFHR and helps to ensure that the Foundation is accountable to the BC Government for the funds it invests in health research. MSFHR conducts reviews associated with assessing funding applications and making funding recommendations. The Foundation also periodically convenes review panels to assess its programs and/or processes, and make recommendations for improvement.

Program reviews and evaluations

In November 2006, the Foundation initiated an external review of its Infrastructure Programs and in spring 2008, MSFHR conducted an external review of the Research Trainee and Career Investigator Programs. For the reports and recommendations that resulted from these reviews, see MSFHR Reports.

MSFHR is developing an organization-wide Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Framework to enhance the Foundation's performance and demonstration value for health research funding. For more information, see Monitoring & Evaluation.
