BC SUPPORT Unit launches new P2P awards
The BC SUPPORT Unit has launched a new funding program, targeted to BC-based health research teams currently designing a patient-oriented research study.
The new P2P (Pathway to Patient-Oriented Research) Awards are offered by the BC SUPPORT Unit in partnership with MSFHR. These awards will help BC-based patient-oriented research teams pilot and test the feasibility of their project to strengthen future grant applications on major national and international funding competitions.
There will be at least five P2P Awards in 2018. Each award amount will be up to $20,000 for a maximum duration of 12 months. Through P2P Awards, the BC SUPPORT Unit hopes to build and strengthen capacity for patient-oriented research in BC.
MSFHR is pleased to bring its deep knowledge of health research funding and the health research system in BC to this program. The Foundation is working with the BC SUPPORT Unit to provide expertise in the development of the P2P award program and to provide award administration services (application receipt, peer review, and management of the award).
Note: The webinar will be recorded and uploaded to the BC SUPPORT Unit website for those who are unable to attend the live event.
