Update on awards
December 9, 2009
The MSFHR Board, at its meeting on November 27, endorsed continuing existing awards to the extent possible within our current financial situation.
Updates on awards are as follows:
- Career investigators will receive continued funding support for their award until March 31, 2011, contingent upon receiving the $15 million that was pledged to MSFHR by the Government of British Columbia on or before April 15, 2010.
- Trainees (2009 cohort) will receive continued funding, contingent on our receiving the $15 million on or before April 15, 2010, from October 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011.
- Research units, cohort 3, will receive continued funding support for their award at a reduced level from April 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010, contingent on MSFHR receiving the $15 million on or before April 15, 2010. The level of support will be determined through our 2010/11 budget process, and award holders will be advised of the amount when it has been determined.
- Research units, cohort 4 will receive continued funding support for their award at a reduced level from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011, contingent on MSFHR receiving the $15 million on or before April 15, 2010. The level of support will be determined through our 2010/11 budget process, and award holders will be advised of the amount when it has been determined.
- Technology/methodology platforms will receive continued support for their award at a reduced level from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011, contingent on MSFHR receiving the $15 million on or before April 15, 2010. The level of support will be determined through our 2010/11 budget process, and award holders will be advised of the amount when it has been determined.
- Team start up (cohort 3) awards will be reviewed as part of the MSFHR budgeting process for fiscal 2010/11, and further details will be provided as they are available.
