Research profiles are now online for MSFHR’s 78 newly-funded trainees. The profiles summarize all projects undertaken by trainees, whose work covers the spectrum of health research from population health to health services to biomedical and clinical research.
MSFHR Research Trainee Program Awards support highly qualified Masters, PhD and Post-Doctoral trainees to prepare for careers as independent health researchers. “These exceptional trainees are pursuing a great number of exciting research projects, all of which have significant potential to improve health and health care in the future,” says Dr. John Challis, MSFHR President and CEO. “By funding their training, BC is better positioned to retain them as future leaders in health research.”
Since 2001, MSFHR and partners have funded more than 1,000 graduate students and post doctoral fellows to train on the job with leading researchers at BC universities and hospital-based research centres.
