In 2008 the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research announced a special competition for research operating funds to support immunization program evaluation research in British Columbia. Initiated and funded by the BC Ministry of Health Services, this competition will provide two years of funding for research projects that contribute to new knowledge required to support the goals of the BC Immunization Strategy. It will also position BC to take advantage of future immunization research funding opportunities at the national level.
