Nursing Research Facilitator Program

MSFHR is pleased to announce an extension of the BCNRI Nursing Research Facilitator funding. Each BC health authority will receive funding to extend the current facilitator positions to March 31, 2013.

The facilitator program is designed to help build capacity and support practice-relevant nursing health services research by providing funding and resources to support the activities of the facilitator. Reporting to the chief nursing executive (or designate), facilitators are expected to work closely with health research support groups/individuals within their respective health authorities, as well as interact with the BC Nursing Health Services Research Network, to:

  • develop an inventory of nursing health services health research,
  • act as a contact for researchers seeking information and contacts to undertake nursing health services research and,
  • facilitate the nursing practice community to find, evaluate and apply evidence and build towards supporting practitioners to work with academics to identify gaps in evidence and engage in research.
