MSFHR is a member of the Canadian Common CV Network, a partnership of Canadian research funding organizations working to streamline processes for researchers to submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV). The Common CV is a web-based tool that allows researchers to manage their CV data in a single repository.

The Common CV stores data in a secure and private database that researchers and trainees can access at any time, from any computer. It reduces workload by allowing applicants to complete and save different sections at their convenience, reuse data for future submissions and use drop down menus and pre-populated lists.

MSFHR requires all award applicants to fill out the Common CV as part of completing funding applications. To apply to MSFHR competitions, applicants must fill out the Common CV fields, plus the fields that are specific to MSFHR. With the introduction of MSFHR ApplyNet – MSFHR’s online funding application system – most applicants now submit their Common CV as an attachment to their online application. Please refer to specific competition guidelines for more details.

In addition to being an integral part of the MSFHR application process, the Common CV is also used by MSFHR to populate the BC Directory of Health Researchers and Trainees.

For further information about the Common CV, visit the Common CV website. Contact the MSFHR Help Desk if you have questions relating to technical and procedural issues for the Common CV.
