Andrew Sandford

Dr. Andrew Sandford is an associate professor in the Respiratory Division of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He is partly funded by a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Senior Scholar Award.

His research program is focused on the genetic susceptibility to inflammatory lung diseases, including genetic risk factors for the development of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as well as genetic modifiers of disease severity in cystic fibrosis. He is also investigating the functional impact of genetic variants that have been associated with respiratory disease.
