Isaac Rosado Sanchez

My career goal is to become an independent researcher working to understand the mechanisms involved in immune diseases and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes. I did my PhD at University of Seville, Spain (2013-2018) and studied Tregs in an immunocompromised group of HIV-infected patients with a low number of CD4+ T-cells. This work sparked my interest in continuing to study Tregs in the new context of cell therapy and transplantation. I joined to Levings’ lab 1 one and a half years ago. Since then, I have been working on optimizing CAR-Tregs to increase their safety and efficacy as cell therapy to avoid organ rejection and to reduce the use of immunosuppressive drugs.
