Janet Mah

Dr. Janet Mah is a psychologist and investigator at BC Children’s Hospital and BCCH Research Institute, and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests focus on parenting beliefs and attitudes related to treatment engagement and adherence, innovative psychosocial interventions, and mental health literacy and stigma among cultural groups. She has cross-Canadian collaborations on Asian mental health initiatives as well as parenting impacts on children with ADHD.

Janet is well positioned to bridge research and practice. She has expertise in evidence-based interventions for behavioural and emotional management in children and their families. She partners with patient families, community providers and other stakeholders to generate relevant and meaningful impacts.
