Larissa Rossen

Dr. Rossen received her PhD from the University of New South Wales, Australia, investigating early predictors of infant development in the first year of life as part of the Triple B study (Bumps, Babies, and Beyond), a longitudinal birth cohort study which examines a wide range of biopsychosocial factors that relate to the health and development of Australian children. She was awarded scholarships from UNSW Australia and the Australian Centre for Perinatal Science.

She is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow on the Away We Grow Toddler Development Study at the University of British Columbia and BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Her project investigates toddler feeding patterns, nutrient status, and neuro-cognitive development. 

Larissa is passionate about understanding and intervening around risk and protective factors related to early childhood development and health, especially supporting families through the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum). She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
