2011 Research Trainee award recipients announced

MSFHR is pleased to announce the outcome of the 2011 Research Trainee funding competition. From a highly competitive pool of more than 200 applicants, 64 exceptional researchers have been selected for funding.

MSFHR Research Trainee Program awards support highly qualified master's, PhD, and post-doctoral trainees to prepare for careers as independent health researchers. These exceptional students significantly increase the productivity of the research programs with which they are affiliated.

Since 2001, MSFHR and partners have funded more than 1,000 graduate students and post doctoral fellows to train on the job with leading researchers at BC universities and hospital-based research centres.

Acknowledging our Funding Partners
MSFHR’s Trainee Partnership Program provides an opportunity for not-for-profit organizations, foundations, and other interested groups to partner with us to jointly fund qualified applicants. Since 2002, more than 100 jointly funded awards have been given through this program, including 15 awards this year by the following organizations:
