Foundations of KT application deadline extended

10 March 2014

Note: This KT course is open to individuals interested in knowledge translation and working in health care and health research. (Previously, it was limited to researchers at VCHRI organizations and VCHRI-affiliated post-secondary institutions.)

The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, in partnership with the Knowledge Translation Program at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, invites applications for the Foundations of Knowledge Translation Course.

This course aims to increase application of knowledge by supporting partnerships between researchers and knowledge users (clinicians and managers) to help move relevant knowledge into action.

This course includes three in-person workshops, online course materials, mentorship, and a community of practice to support local implementation efforts. Participants should register as a team (2-4 members maximum) and each team should include a researcher and a clinician and/or manager.

The first workshop will be held April 9 and 10, 2014 in Vancouver. Future workshop dates will be announced later.

Application deadline extended to 5 p.m. (PST), March 14, 2014.
