MSFHR announces 2012 Scholar award recipients

Twenty-three* exceptional BC health researchers were today named recipients of Scholar awards through MSFHR’s 2012 Career Investigator funding competition.

The recipients, selected from a highly competitive pool of more than 90 applicants, represent the leading edge of health research in BC. Their funded projects span a broad range of disciplines – from HIV vaccine development to cancer treatment to the effects of environmental pollution – each with significant potential to improve health and the health system.

MSFHR’s Career Investigator Program invests in recruiting and retaining top scientists and helping them build strong research programs. Since 2001, MSFHR has allocated more than $80 million in funding to more than 300 Scholar award recipients.
