MSFHR board chair Sue Paish named CEO of LifeLabs Inc.

Sue Paish, chair of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research board of directors, has been appointed CEO of LifeLabs Inc., Canada's largest provider of community laboratory services.

"On behalf of MSFHR, I would like to congratulate Sue Paish on this appointment," said Dr. Diane Finegood, MSFHR president and CEO. "Sue is a recognized business leader both locally and nationally, and I look forward to continuing to draw on her vision and creativity to support the work of the Foundation."

Paish previously served as CEO of Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. She will begin her new position with LifeLabs on July 1, 2012. In addition to her role with MSFHR's board, Paish sits on a number of corporate and community boards, including the Rick Hansen Foundation and the CORIX Group of Companies.

"I am passionate about the health services industry," said Paish. "My new role complements my ongoing commitment to helping MSFHR build BC's capacity for world-class health research."

LifeLabs provides laboratory testing services to physicians and other health care professionals across Canada. Its labs deliver more than 50 million laboratory tests annually to more than 10 million patients.
