MSFHR supporting BC applications to KT Canada Summer Institute

17 February 2015

MSFHR is pleased to once again partner with KT Canada on the 2015 Summer Institute on Knowledge Translation.

The purpose of the Summer Institute is to provide participants with the opportunity to increase their understanding of knowledge translation research, the opportunities and challenges in the field, and to network with national and international KT experts. This year’s theme is “The Science and Practice of KT.”

The Summer Institute will be held in Edmonton from June 15 to 17. It is aimed at graduate students, post-doctoral and clinical fellows, and junior faculty who study issues relevant to KT and those who want to learn more about how to advance their research skills in this area.

MSFHR will reimburse registration and travel costs for the first four BC applicants who are able to produce proof of acceptance to the Summer Institute.

Eligible expenses are restricted to travel (economy airfare; ground), registration fee (which includes accommodation, meals and materials), and meals not already covered by KT Canada. Expenses will be reimbursed only after submission to MSFHR of original travel receipts and a summary sponsorship report outlining the attendee’s experience at the Summer Institute. A report template and travel expense claim form will be sent to eligible BC attendees.

The deadline for applications is March 16, 2015.

For information about MSFHR travel/registration support or to provide proof of acceptance to the Summer Institute by BC attendees, please contact Gayle Scarrow, Manager, Knowledge Translation at or 604-714-6603.
