MSFHR’s Bev Holmes to speak at international KT conference

23 September 2015

MSFHR’s strategic focus on supporting the uptake of research evidence will be highlighted for an international audience early next year.

Dr. Bev Holmes, MSFHR vice-president, research & impact, has been invited to present a keynote on MSFHR’s approach to system-level knowledge translation at the 3rd Fuse International Conference on Knowledge Exchange in Public Health. The conference will take place April 27 and 28 in Newcastle, UK.

This conference will bring together academics, public health professionals, and decision-makers from a variety of international settings to explore the link between measuring impact and applying evidence to public health.

“To be invited to speak at this highly regarded forum is a testament to the growing recognition of British Columbia’s and MSFHR’s efforts to advance the application of health research evidence in policy and practice,” said Holmes.

The conference organizers have expressed interest in hearing perspectives from Canadian KT practitioners and have extended the call for abstracts to Monday, September 28. More information on how to submit an abstract can be found on the conference website.
