Seeking expressions of interest for SPOR SUPPORT Unit development

31 July 2013

BC’s application to CIHR’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research is ready to take the next step forward.

MSFHR and the BC Ministry of Health are today launching a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals, teams, and organizations who wish to participate in developing a business plan for BC’s SPOR SUPPORT Unit.

This unit will be a research service centre that provides specialized expertise and infrastructure for patient-oriented research in BC. The SUPPORT Unit is expected to focus on three core functions: data platforms and services; real-world clinical trials; and health systems, knowledge translation, and implementation.

EOI submissions will identify those interested in providing a leadership role in the development of a business plan, which will be submitted in winter 2013/14. Submissions will also identify the resources, expertise, and experience upon which a SUPPORT Unit can be built.

Those wishing to submit an EOI must complete the registration form by September 4, 2013. Full EOI submissions are due September 30, 2013.
