Understanding childhood heart health

SFU researcher Dr. Scott Lear (2003 MSFHR Scholar) is undertaking a new study to better understand the factors impacting childhood heart health. Lear’s research will examine data from 5,400 students in Canada and India to determine the environmental causes of poor childhood health. The CIHR-funded study aims to identify solutions to the increasing rate of childhood obesity and other risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
