As a responsible and responsive funder, we are listening to our health research community. We are hearing from some of our Scholar and Research Trainee applicants that challenges posed by the COVID-19 situation are impacting their abilities to complete their applications by the deadline. In response, we are extending our current competition deadlines by four weeks for these awards:
Scholar
The full application deadline is now February 28, 2022.
Research Trainee
The full application deadline is now March 14, 2022.
We anticipate that the awards will be announced this summer, and maintain their original award start dates of July 1, 2022 for Scholar and September 1, 2022 for Research Trainee.
We are committed to supporting the research community as we continue to work through these challenging times. As the situation continues to evolve, we will make further adjustments as needed and post them on the funding page of our website. Please check it regularly and follow us on Twitter for updates.
If you have questions about any of our funding competitions or programs, we encourage you to reach out to us via our help desk.
