Jessica Küpper

Dr. Jessica Küpper is a Post Doctoral Fellow and Biomechanical Engineer who applies her knowledge to better understand the mechanics of the human body.  Most recently, she obtained her PhD from the University of Calgary in the area of knee joint contact mechanics, and during that time was the recipient of many prestigious awards including the I.W. Killam Memorial Doctoral Scholarship.  She also served as a member of the Graduate Leaders’ Circle, whose mandate is to develop graduate student leaders.  Earlier in her career, from 2008-2015, Küpper was employed in the research field and investigated topics spanning cartilage and knee mechanical loading, movement analysis, and torso surface topography in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients.  In this role she was a mentor to multiple undergraduate and graduate students, and worked in a highly multidisciplinary environment that inspired her to pursue an academic career.
