MSFHR Research Continuity Fund
The MSFHR Research Continuity Fund was created to fill a gap identified during the extensive outreach conducted this summer. We listened and we learned that health researchers need a fund to support and provide resources so they can continue to conduct world-class research during these times of unprecedented change. This fund will provide up to six months of salary support for MSFHR-funded researchers who currently do not have support after their current award ends.
This opportunity is now closed.
- Hold a Scholar or a Research Trainee award that has ended, or is scheduled to end between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021.
- Not currently have a full time/permanent position.
How to apply
The application process involves two parts:
- An online application form
- A brief fillable PDF that must be signed by the department head (for a Scholar award) or supervisor (for a Research Trainee award), and uploaded to the application form prior to submission.
For those whose awards have already ended or are due to end within the next month, the application process can be started immediately.
Those whose awards are ending at a later date can apply one month before the currently scheduled award end date.
If funding is not required
For Research Trainee award holders who do not require additional support after the award end date, we are also offering an automatic 12 month, no-cost extension for research and travel allowance in recognition of the fact that the R&T allowance may have been challenging to spend in the past year.
If you have any questions about the application process or are uncertain about when your award ends, please do not hesitate to contact us at helpdesk[at]msfhr.org.
