The Pacific Alzheimer Research Foundation (PARF) is a non-profit organization devoted to supporting research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Alzheimer’s disease is devastating to its victims and their families, and has a profoundly negative impact on Canadian society. The economic burden of Alzheimer’s disease in the billions of dollars, with incalculable costs to quality of life for patients and their families. There are tens of thousands new cases of Alzheimer’s disease diagnosed in Canada each year and the number is continuing to grow.

PARF’s mission is to eradicate Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by assisting scientists whose aim is to achieve this objective.
