SRAC

The BC COVID-19 Strategic Research Advisory Committee (SRAC) was established to serve as a bridge between the Provincial Health Officer, government decision-makers and the BC health research community. The BC COVID-19 SRAC was convened to advise the province on the priorities, funding, coordination and dissemination of research projects and their results. The focus was on the BC-specific research needs and strengths in the context of national and global research initiatives.

SRAC reported to the BC Ministry of Health Associate Deputy Minister and the PHO through the Chairs. Health Research BC served as secretariat to the committee and provided strategic support.

As of May 2023, the BC COVID-19 Strategic Research Advisory Committee (SRAC) has completed their work. As secretariat, Michael Smith Health Research BC is grateful to members for all their contributions, as well as to those who supported their efforts.

Former members of SRAC are available for consultation on related issues; anyone interested in engaging them, or who has any questions about SRAC, can email info[at]healthresearchbc.ca
